2 Shows to Skip & 2 to Watch
We’re all in need of some serious distraction from reality. But it has to be worth the time. It’s needs a true ROI: where your return on investment is worth the time you have to put in.
Skip: ‘Black Rabbit’
Starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law, this show should be stellar. Plus, it’s also only 1 Season, which is appealing when you want a quick hit without making too much of a commitment.
Netflix refers to the series as a “propulsive thrill ride” which really means it gags you with its lack of reality. The characters are unlikable, to the point it’s hard to give a shit about either. Yet, you sorta want to keep watching... but don’t.
The show starts good. Watchable with strong episodes. But then ick. The ending was so unbelievable, totally abandoning the character arcs. The ending ruined the show. I want my time back.
Watch: ‘The Last Frontier’
A bit campy, pretty unrealistic and a whole lota fun. I so didn’t expect to enjoy this series, but I did! It was fun and totally worth your time.
Haley Bennett plays Sidney, and she’s a total badass. She makes me want to take karate.
Skip: ‘His & Hers’
1st episode: fun, ballsy and unexpected
2nd episode: I started cruising my iPad
3rd episode: and we’re done
One positive: the outfits. Some outrages looks. High heels in the woods? Good luck with that.
Watch: ‘Come See Me in the Good Light’
This 2025 documentary was nominated for an Oscar. There is so much I could say but instead I’ll just say “watch it.” No need to thank me.
