Nothing about this year feels “normal,” so there’s no reason that Valentine’s Day should, either. So in the spirit of everything feeling off, let’s say it together

“Screw all the traditional stuff!”

That means no candy, flowers or perfume. No more possessions we have to put somewhere or part with. Same for greeting cards. If it’s going to end up in the recycling bin the next day, skip it.

We’re alive and we’re going to celebrate at least one person we love this month — even if that’s you. It’s about spending time together in a way you typically don’t. So get ready to embrace the atypical.
