A community that understands Music is a lens through which we can examine and discuss ā together. Itās a framing that allows us to learn from our past mistakes ā if we listen. And to grow better together.
The lyrics scold us, warning us of where weāre headed if things donāt change ā fast. They remind us history does repeat itself. Especially when we ignore our past. While also nagging: we canāt lose hope and must push for change.
Shout-out to JustTanNotOrange for being the first to suggest songs to replace. Check out the comments to see the playlist changes.

Even though I'm not a Green Day fan I'd add American Idiot which they've changed to MAGA Idiot when they perform it live. It couldn't hurt to add Children of The Grave by Black Sabbath or their song War Pigs. Ozzy's Crazy Train would for as well. I asked about Dear Mr. President because 4 Nonblondes has a song with the same name. Ice T has a great one: Escape From The Killing Fields. None of my suggestions are necessarily anti ICE per se, but they fit the vibe of you know what I mean. There's Bring The Noise by Public Enemy and Anthrax, Free Your Mind by En Vogue, Right Here, Right Now by Jesus Jones, Express Yourself by Madonna, Both This Way by Lady Gaga, My Oh My by Slade, Raising Hell by Run DMC, Only a Heartbeat Away by T' Pau, Heroes by David Bowie. I've included some "positive" songs because we need a balance if we're going to do this right - that's just my opinion of course.
First, is the song by the Indigo Girls originally by 4 Nonblondes? If so, that's a great song. Next, some of the songs on my list are yours:
For What It's Worth(Buffalo Springfield)
Imagine (John Lennon)
God Save the Queen (The Sex Pistols)
Revolution (The Beatles)
Rock The Casbah (The Clash)
Ohio (Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young)
Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2)
F*** The Police (N.W.A.)
The Revolution Will Not be Televised (Gil Scott-Heron)
A Change is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke)
Get Up, Stand Up (Bob Marley)
What's Going On (Marvin Gaye)
Killing in the Name (Rage Against The Machine)
Fight The Power (Public Enemy)
Strange Fruit (Billie Holiday)
The Edge of a Revolution (Nickelback)
Riot (Dead Kennedy's)
Cop Killer (Body Count)
Motor City is Burning (MC5)
There's a Riot Goin' On (Sly and The Family Stone)
Babylon's Burning (The Ruts)
Electric Avenue (Eddy Grant)
